Introduction to Visual Effects (VFX)

VFX means Visual Effects, If we watch movies for entertainment, then a different world comes, they do not have any idea of effect, we get lost in it,  It seems that all this is real and shot in reality, but nowadays all this is possible from VFX and computer which comes in post-production behind the scenes work, Movies  shoot is something different and at the time of showing it, its result is something different, which is VFX nowadays.  

VFX is generally the combination of live-action footage and imagery created outside the context of a live action shot, such as computer-generated imagery (CGI). VFX shots range from basic image manipulation and compositing, integration of live action with CG to full CG environments, which look realistic. Visual Effects commonly aim to create photo-realistic believable images.

The two most common VFX shot scenarios are Set-Extensions and CG Integration.  Visual effects are a key part of today’s films and Games Most of effects use in games and tv shows, advertisements.

A large number of Hollywood movies are outsourced to VFX studios in India due to competitive pricing and quality of work. This has led to the establishment of several VFX studios in India, and many international VFX companies are also setting up their studios in the country.

Additionally, the Indian government has also introduced incentives to attract foreign productions to the country, boosting the growth of the VFX industry. Overall, India's VFX industry has shown remarkable growth and potential to establish itself as a significant player in the global VFX market.

Career Opportunities

The time has long gone when people were afraid to look beyond conventional career options. The youth is seeking our vocations that challenge them and arouse their interest. One such field that has expanded and has proved to be an attractive option in recent times is that of animation, VFX, and Visual designing. Those employed in the field of VFX, Visual Designing, or Animation, help create visual representations of things that are difficult to film otherwise.

These may include special scenes in films of disasters, explosions, cartoons, and the like. However, the scope of their work extends beyond this. They are involved in budgeting decisions, planning and creating visuals keeping in mind monetary restraints, the conceptualization of the special effects, and coordination with other creative heads. To pursue a career in this field, one needs to be equipped with a sound knowledge of computer programs along with an aptitude for fine arts. They should be familiar with software like JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, Linux/Unix, as well as trained in 3D modelling, prototyping, and photoshop.

Those interested can pursue their graduation in VFX and animation after their class 12th. One can also opt for certificate courses in the field.

Careers in the field of Animation

3D modellers:  They help in creating and presenting 3-D images of objects, to provide a better visual experience and understanding of the object. 3-D modelers can be employed by game designing companies, institutions that create educational content, and advertising firms.

Character animators: They are responsible for creating animated characters in films, or for the gaming industry. This requires proficiency in software like Maya or Light.

Motion Graphic Artist: Their role is to help create 2D and 3D images in motion. They are hired by the gaming industry, for films or advertising.

Lighting artists: They work with studios to ensure that the light and shadow effect is created and the images look realistic on screen. They usually collaborate with animation studios.

Composting artists: Those working in this field are responsible for integrating various aspects of creating animation and creating the final product. They need to be adept at using animation software.

Impact of VFX in Films, TV shows and Gaming Animation 

Nowadays new trend is web series and mobile gaming in the world of entertainment, cartoons and graphics in mobile for children, everywhere in digital world you are getting to see VFX animation, people are becoming aware of VFX in films to small commercials And animation is being used till now this field ghost was limited so see the scope now our eyes of Indian government are open so they have started paying some attention now completely government is not involved in this sector.

If the government is fully involved in this, then there will be ghost boom in this sector in the coming time, because this field is now limited, too much is arbitrary, but it is showing a good scope in the coming time, this limited in India only the left government needs to pay more attention to this.

The Animation Industry Consists of various segments: – 3D Animation, 2D Animation, Web Design, Graphics, Gaming, Multimedia, etc. 

It also requires skills and talent as this industry is growing so fast there is a constant demand for skilled professional from both Indian and International Studies.

Drop back and Challenges in This Field

If you have creativity and you have artistic imagination power, then this field is made for you only. With creative mind, you came to in this field, but there is no respect and value of talented artist in India, 

If you have patience, long time sitting and spent more extra time another to working hours so, welcome to the field, because of this field has no time boundation ,and no limited time, sometime given a very less time of your work but good, quality output result no compromise of quality work.

Work pressure in this job, too much work hard and too much stays and extends Most of Studio and Companies in, at least 12 to 14 hours working hours especially Indian artist and earning according to this much workload is not that much, companies do not have budget for artist's salary and there is no need to work in the project. You also get credits. million-rupee movies have budget for VFX but not for artist.

who has to work hard behind the scenes at least daily, everyday workload, pressure of deadline, pressure of on time project delivery, if you are good in take this responsibility and habitual in pressure workload without a good amount of salary but term and condition apply only for Indian artist only then welcome to this field.
